Angel Chavarría participates on behalf of SFA in the LaLiga Law Meetings

On May 17, our associate Angel Chavarría participated in the 9th Meeting of Sports Law organized by LaLiga Foundation, addressing the interesting issue of equality plans in the world of soccer.

The presentation had a practical component to help clubs in the mandatory development of these plans. Our firm believes that gender inequality in soccer clubs should be analyzed in differentiated qualitative spheres; on the one hand, analyzing the structure and functional organization of the club and on the other, the sporting sphere; this independent analysis of both spheres will allow us to obtain information on the causes that originate inequality and to propose actions aimed at fighting inequality within a predominantly masculinized industry.

As an interesting point, the difficulties posed by the transgender collective in the sports sphere and the regulatory challenge it poses for the future were anticipated.
