Our partners Iñigo de Lacalle and Eduardo Montejo lead various sessions at the ITTI Sports Institute

Our partner, Iñigo de Lacalle, had the privilege of teaching the class PLAYERS STATUS, TRANSFERS & REGISTRATIONS – INTRODUCTION TO TAX LAW AS APPLICABLE TO FOOTBALL PLAYER TRANSFERS as part of the Master in Football Law, a football law program organized by ITTI in collaboration with AIAF. These sessions took place on November 25 and 26, 2024, in Barcelona, at the RCDE Stadium.

Among other topics, the sessions explored, through practical case studies, complementary issues related to international transfers, such as immigration, an introduction to tax law applicable to football player transfers, training compensation and solidarity, key aspects of international transfers, image rights, jurisdiction, and competence, among others.

On the other hand, Eduardo Montejo has participated in the Master in International Sports Management organized by ITTI in collaboration with the RFEF. The topic of the lecture was “Taxation Regime & Planning” and different relevant tax issues were analyzed such us: comparative tax regimes in Europe, taxation of image rights or the main tax aspects derived from international transfers.
