Javier Ferrero and Alvaro Martinez San Segundo attend the Master’s Degree in Sports Law at the Real Madrid University School of European University
On April 3rd and 4th, our partner Javier Ferrero taught several sessions on the FIFA Player Transfer Regulations and the transfer market, as well as analyzing the current state of regulation of Agents in the world of football. Similarly, our senior associate Álvaro Martínez San Segundo taught the classes “US Sports Model & Major Leagues” and “Circular 1917 – Interim regulatory framework amendments of FIFA RSTP,” where students had the opportunity to identify the main differences between the American and European models, focusing in particular on the MLS system. They also reviewed the latest reforms to the FIFA RSTP following the CJEU decision in the Diarra case. They also solved two real-life cases where some of the concepts analyzed during the theoretical portion of the sessions were put into practice.
